Blowing Phoenician glass is a tradition passed down, often within families, with secret recipes that are held tight. Skilled artisans smash recycled bottles into pieces, melt them in high-temperature ovens then roll and blow these sculptural carafes. Each one of these is unique and so highly prized in West Bank, that they are often reserved as wedding gifts.
